Studio17 were approached by Joseph Joseph to develop a range of products at a lower price point, to help launch the brand into selected ‘big box’ retailers.

At their core, the products had to maintain the same innovative, functional approach that underpins the brand, whilst stripping back production costs to achieve a target retail price.

The Duo In-drawer utensil set retains much of the functionality of the original five piece set from the core range, but without the non-slip stacking base and spaghetti claw.

Instead, the tools are profiled to sit flat to the base of the drawer, whilst discrete snap details in the handles keep the tools securely together, in the absence of the base.

Each tool is carefully shaped to nest tightly together as a single unit, without compromising the functionality and ergonomics of the tools in use.
