Caddy
Client: Joseph Joseph
As one of the first collaborations with Joseph Joseph, Caddy provided an exercise less in innovation, but more in careful execution of an existing product type.
The brief was simple – house commonly used washing up paraphernalia into a compact, desirable cleaning caddy. Initial exploration defaulted to how washing up liquid, brushes, a sponge and cloth could be packaged together into a small footprint.
The result of which largely determined the product aesthetic; with an offset brush and bottle holder supporting a raised rail for drying cloths. A draining plate allows sponges to drip-dry and collect in the reservoir below.
All three parts are removable so each can be easily cleaned, and the water reservoir emptied.
